Audi Offers Additional Value in 2012
Model Year 2012 upgrades
Audi Australia is adding value across most of its range in 2012, with Audi A1, A3 Sportback, A4, A5 and Q5 benefitting from additional features. Most notable among these is the inclusion of Audi Connect technology across all of these models, reinforcing Audi Australia’s commitment to being a technology leader in the premium segment.
The Audi A1 1.4 TFSI 90kW benefits from a range of standard equipment upgrades. From MY2012, the Attraction specification adds a Driver Information System (DIS), multi-function steering wheel and Bluetooth interface to the generous list of standard equipment, all without any price increase. The higher-specification A1 Ambition model also now includes the multi-function steering wheel and Bluetooth interface as standard equipment. Audi’s Bluetooth interface allows customers to connect compatible mobile phones to the A1’s audio system, allowing them to enjoy audio streaming via their phone, or hands-free telephony.
In addition to these upgrades, a highly desirable new Technik Package has been made available to A1 customers, including features like Xenon headlights with LED daytime driving lights, air conditioning with automatic climate control and the rear acoustic parking system, which makes easy work of sliding the A1 into tight urban parking spaces. The Technik Package is available on both the A1 Attraction and A1 Ambition models for $2000, representing excellent value. The Bluetooth interface is now also standard equipment across all A3 Sportback and A3 Cabriolet models.
The Audi A4 Sedan and A4 Avant range also gains a substantial range of additional standard equipment. The rear parking aid is now standard equipment on the A4 1.8 TFSI and 2.0 TDI, while the 2.0 TFSI multitronic and 2.7 TDI now include full electric seats and an enhanced interior lighting package as standard. In addition to these upgrades, the A4 2.0 TFSI quattro, 3.0 TDI and 3.2 FSI all come with MMI Navigation Plus.
The MMI Navigation Plus package is progressive technology at its finest, boasting a hard-drive navigation system and 10GB storage space for music, a high-resolution 7- inch colour display with high-quality map design, voice activation, a single DVD player and two SDHC card readers.
The Audi A5 Coupe, Cabrio and Sportback also gain MMI Navigation Plus as standard equipment. (with the exception of 2.0 TFSI multitronic).
The popular Audi Q5 also benefits from additional equipment upgrades, with no price increase. All model lines now come with front and rear parking aids, Audi Music Interface and the convenience of an electrically operated tailgate. The 3.0 TDI and3.2 FSI also now boasts Xenon headlights as standard equipment.
