...supercharged Jaguar. The XKR Special Edition is available to order now, with vehicles arriving in September /October 2010. Only ten (10) XKR Special Editions will be coming to Australia and will be available in Coupe form only. Nine (9) of these cars will be available to order now (against retail orders). The tenth car will be used for promotional purposes and will be for sale as a used vehicle in the future. The XKR Special Edition specifications are detailed below- Exterior• All cars will be Polaris White.• Body coloured side sills and rear diffuser.• 20" Kalimnos alloy wheels with gloss black finish.• Gloss black finish to upper and lower grilles.• Gloss black finish to side air intake cheeks.• Gloss black finish to window surrounds.• Red painted brake callipers with R logo.• Body coloured Aerodynamic Pack – front bib spoiler and larger rear spoiler.• Body coloured rear trunk lid finisher.• "XKR" body side graphic.

Interior • Soft-grain interior in Warm Charcoal with Cranberry contrast stitch. • 16 way heated and cooled seats with memory. • Jet Suedecloth premium headlining. • Flint Grey carpet and premium carpet mats. • Bowers & Wilkins Premium Audio System. • Piano Black veneer on the facia, centre console and door switch packs. • Fully carpeted boot well liner with an IMS (Instant Mobility System) fitted in place of a space saver spare wheel. You will be familiar with this configuration as it was used previously in the XKR Portfolio's.

Performance

The maximum speed of the exciting XKR Special Edition is 280kph. This has increased from an electronically limited maximum speed of 250kph on the standard XKR. Power, torque and all other performance figures are the same as for the standard XKR Coupe.

Recommended Retail Price

The Recommended Retail Price (RRP) of the XKR Special Edition will be approximately$17,000 over and above the standard XKR Coupe RRP of $255,000 (excluding the accessory fit bespoke luggage).
